Job summary

Saunders Staffing Agency is seeking a seasoned Resident Engineer/Project Manager to oversee construction engineering activities and field personnel for major infrastructure projects.

You will lead inspection teams, ensure contract compliance, and maintain safety and quality standards, coordinating between design teams, contractors, and public agencies. 15+ years of civil construction oversight is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 13+ years in construction inspection and infrastructure oversight (highway, roadway, or bridge experience preferred).
• Deep familiarity with state transportation standards and digital reporting systems.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving; proficiency in MS Office and CADD platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspectors, technicians, and junior staff to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Monitor construction schedules, track progress, and manage budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Administer quality assurance programs, interpret technical specifications, and verify the accuracy of all team deliverables.
• Prepare progress reports, pay estimates, and contract modifications while supporting final project closeout.
• Act as the primary liaison between design teams, contractors, and public agencies.
