AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for our Tallahassee/Chipley, FL project team. The role focuses on direct oversight of FDOT transportation initiatives, including roads and bridges, with emphasis on design and construction observation.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 15+ years of related experience, and a PE license. The candidate will lead field and office personnel, ensure safety, quality, and compliance, and collaborate with clients to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Fifteen years of experience with Bachelor's degree combining engineering design and construction observation administration, including management and supervision of field and office personnel.
• PE certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
• Provides financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
• Leads staff involved in observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
• Responsible for reporting cost and quality control activities.
• Coordinates ongoing construction monitoring with the client program manager.
• Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with the client.
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
• Must have experience working on FDOT projects.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $160,000 to $195,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
