State of Oklahoma's Office of Juvenile Affairs seeks a Resident Care Specialist IV at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh, OK. You will provide supervision of direct care staff and ensure care, custody, and security for at-risk youth in a 24-hour facility.

Requires prior security experience with juveniles in residential settings and a high school diploma or equivalent. A sign-on bonus is offered and shifts include 1st/2nd/3rd with overtime possible.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 21 years old and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of security experience with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Experience in a residential care or treatment facility with juveniles preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provides security and supervision to adjudicated residents in various situations.
• Observes, records, and reports health symptoms, behavior, and activity of residents.
• Manages aggressive and non-aggressive behavior using approved techniques; responds to emergencies.
• Conducts counts and enforces rules; monitors resident and staff activities on surveillance monitors.
• Provides paraprofessional counseling and instruction; participates in treatment planning; leads a group.
