Job summary

The Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs seeks a Resident Care Specialist for Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh, OK. You will help ensure safety, supervision, and care for youth in a 24-hour facility, handling daily activities, counseling, and behavior management.

A strong HOPE-centered approach guides operations, with opportunities for bonuses and shift differentials. Prior security experience with juveniles is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• RCS II requires additional college hours or security experience.
• Experience with juveniles in residential care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and supervision to adjudicated residents in various activities.
• Observe, record, and report health symptoms, behavior, and activity.
• Use approved intervention techniques to manage aggressive behavior and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain facility security, conduct counts, and enforce rules and regulations.
• Provide paraprofessional counseling and assist residents in daily activities.
