Job summary

Office of Juvenile Affairs seeks a Resident Care Specialist to provide care, custody and security for at-risk youth at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh, OK. The role involves counseling, supervision, and crisis intervention to support residents in a safe, structured environment.

RCS I-II positions offer appeal through shift work and added bonuses; 2nd/3rd shifts include differential pay. Must meet age, education, and background requirements as specified.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• RCS II requires 30 semester hours or one year of security experience.
• Experience with youth in residential care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, supervision and security for adjudicated youth.
• Conduct counts, observe and document health symptoms and behavior.
• Intervene verbally and physically with approved techniques when needed.
• Maintain transport, GPS monitoring and related duties.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate with emergency responders.
