Qualifications

• A doctorate degree or its equivalent in related biomedical field by hire date.
• PhD preferred.
• Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical, therapeutic, regulatory or related sciences.
• Experience with grant awards, scholarly publications and international projects.
• A publication record commensurate with this faculty level and at least 2 years of experience in training and supervising scientists.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage specific grant programs investigating genetic variations in response to therapeutics.
• Collaborate with faculty to advance the research agenda across multiple fronts.
• Provide guidance to graduate students and postdocs in laboratory projects or data analysis.
• Promote collaborative research between UCSF labs and other institutions on national and international projects.
