Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a researcher to develop, improve and implement laboratory techniques and perform complex experiments to support timely data completion.

The role involves developing and performing lab procedures, applying QC measures, maintaining records, and supervising lab activities in supervisor's absence. Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience preferred; work occurs in an environmentally controlled lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3 years of lab experience preferred.
• Experience applying quality control procedures to test results.
• Ability to document procedures and manage records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform lab research procedures and carry out complex experiments.
• Develop and apply standard quality control procedures to assure test result quality.
• Demonstrate QC procedures, provide instruction and may supervise other lab personnel.
• Participate in meetings with PI and staff to evaluate data and methodologies.
• Create and maintain timely accurate records.
• Operate, calibrate, and supervise maintenance of lab equipment.
• Oversee daily lab operation in the absence of supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
