Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks a Laboratory Research Associate to develop and improve laboratory techniques and perform complex experiments contributing to timely data completion.

You will implement standard QC procedures, document results, and may supervise lab staff in the absence of a supervisor. The role involves collaboration with the PI and research team to evaluate methodologies and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of laboratory research experience.
• Education may be substituted for experience on an equivalent basis.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform lab research procedures and carry out routine complex experiments.
• Develop and apply standard quality control procedures to assure accuracy of test results.
• Demonstrate QC procedures, provide instruction and may supervise other lab personnel as required.
• Participate in meetings with Principal Investigator and research staff to evaluate data, develop methodologies and evaluate lab procedures.
• Create and maintain timely accurate records.
• Operate, calibrate and supervise routine maintenance on specialized equipment used in research laboratories.
