Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled laboratory professional to independently perform routine and specialized tests, prepare specimens, and execute highly skilled experimental procedures for research studies and diagnosis. You will work with sophisticated equipment and analyze generated data.

The role includes designing experiments, troubleshooting results, mentoring staff, and ensuring strict safety and quality standards across all procedures in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's of Science and 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized laboratory experiments using advanced equipment.
• Develops and troubleshoots experimental procedures; refines data techniques.
• Contributes to overall research design to optimize samples and data.
• Evaluates data and explores alternative approaches to improve results.
• Calculates, graphs and documents data; maintains detailed records and logs.
• Ensures quality assurance and maintains equipment; calibrates and repairs as needed.
• Mentors technicians, residents and researchers in procedures and equipment use.
• Monitors sterilization of glassware, media and reagents; adheres to safety regulations.
