Job summary

University of Michigan is seeking a Research Technician Senior in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine to contribute to high-dimensional immune phenotyping studies focused on heart disease. The role involves tissue harvesting, processing peripheral blood monocytes, flow/mass cytometry, and molecular biology tasks under the PI’s guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health science discipline is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with phenotyping animal models and immunology techniques is required.
• Bench science laboratory experience is required.
• Ability to communicate using online project management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Complete cell culture, RNA and protein extraction experiments.
• Analyze data with flow/mass cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
• Prepare documents for investigators, sponsors, or publications.
• Maintain accurate records and organized inventory of materials
• Place orders with Purchasing team
• Communicate with project team and leadership
• Attend laboratory meetings
• Support data analysis for publications under PI direction
