The fellow will design and execute complex research plans, using in vivo and in vitro methods such as qRT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, ChIP, magnetic and flow cytometric cell sorting, tissue culture, and siRNA transfection, and will mentor undergraduate students.

The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of innate immunity and cardiovascular disease. Duties will include organizing and implementing complex research plans, involving the following in vivo and in vitro methodologies: qRT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, ChIP, magnetic and flow cytometric cell sorting, tissue culture, siRNA transfection, microsurgical murine models and mentoring undergraduate students. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for analysis, interpretation and publication of the work.
The candidate will be expected to possess superior communication skills and present their research findings on a regular basis to both peers within the center and at national meetings.
Previous training in mechanistic studies of vascular inflammation and cardiovascular disease, remodeling, injury and regeneration is preferred.
