Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join the Corporate Positioning & Insights practice, supporting primary research from New York, Washington DC, or Chicago offices. You will develop questionnaires, manage fieldwork, and analyze findings to deliver data-driven insights for clients.

In this role, you will guide junior team members, present results to clients, and grow professionally through formal programs and dedicated coaching. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience conducting primary research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Experience managing research projects from setup through completion, including timelines and fieldwork.
• Experience with survey programming, tabulation and analytical platforms such as Qualtrics, Forsta/Decipher, SPSS, Displayr, or similar tools.
• Interest in and experience using AI and other emerging tools to support research development, analysis, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop questionnaires, discussion guides, and analysis plans with senior team input.
• Manage day-to-day execution of primary research projects, coordinating timelines, fieldwork, vendors and deliverables.
• Identify key themes and insights to inform research objectives and client outcomes.
• Create client presentations and reports that synthesize findings into data‑driven stories.
• Conduct focus groups and in-depth interviews as appropriate.
• Independently manage defined workstreams and smaller projects, supporting senior staff on larger engagements.
• Provide guidance to junior team members on execution, analysis and materials development.
