Discover Durham seeks a Senior Research Manager to lead destination and visitor research, translating data into actionable strategy for Durham’s brand and tourism economy. You’ll partner with marketing, PR, and the Durham Sports Commission to shape research from scoping to delivery.

You’ll manage multiple studies with vendors, translate findings for leadership and partners, and maintain a calendar of projects.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative skills and Excel fluency.
• Experience designing surveys and sampling considerations.
• Experience facilitating qualitative research (focus groups, interviews).
• Excellent writing and presentation skills for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects end-to-end: scoping, vendor selection, fielding and delivery.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for brand and strategy.
• Translate research into talking points, dashboards and leadership materials.
• Manage multiple studies, vendors and deadlines in a hybrid office.
