Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Level OR Level II Research Laboratory Infrastructure Engineer to join the Laboratory IT Services (LITS) team within Research Information Systems (RIS).

The role supports faculty and laboratories by delivering technology services, support, and innovative infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities include managing IT infrastructure, ensuring security and business continuity, and providing capacity planning and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years IT experience in infrastructure operations and engineering environments.
• Experience with biomedical research or university labs is preferred.
• Experience with multiple operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee configuration and management of IT infrastructure to support data retention, security, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and evaluate delivery methods and procedures for infrastructure services.
• Lead internal infrastructure management to meet regulations & standards.
• Implement and monitor incident and disaster recovery for infrastructure support.
• Provide capacity planning and performance reports for stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams to develop metrics and processes for availability.
• Present capacity and performance reports to senior leaders.
• Benchmark and recommend IT infrastructure improvements.
• Perform other duties to meet department and institution goals.
