Job summary

The Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Stanford University are seeking a highly motivated Research Administrator 3 (RA3) to support faculty Principal Investigators as they pursue external research funding. This role requires professionalism, independent judgment, and the ability to anticipate needs and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.

The RA3 will coordinate preparation of complex proposals, including grants, contracts, program projects, and cooperative agreements,

Qualifications

• CRA certification or equivalent credential.
• Experience preparing complex proposals in an academic environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects and timelines in a dynamic research setting.
• Experience preparing clinical research and clinical trial proposals.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of sponsored project guidelines and the research regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex research proposals (grants, contracts, programs) across multiple PIs and sites.
• Act as resource expert to prepare external research funding submissions.
• Advocate for PIs within Stanford’s academic and medical community.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and regulatory requirements.
