Gelest, Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, is seeking a Senior Research Engineer in Morrisville, PA to support growth in specialty materials. You will drive process development and deploy new technologies, with collaboration across Process Chemistry, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Business Development.

The role emphasizes technology transfer, documentation, and safe operation, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement in Process

Qualifications

• Strong problem solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Able to interpret SDS and packaging code information and follow procedures.
• Familiar with safety practices and PPE usage.
• Experience with process development and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and assess efforts focusing on technology transfer from Product Development to Production.
• Document work and progress against goals; establish operating methods and procedures.
• Facilitate transfer through safety reviews, training, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Mentor junior Research Engineers.
