Job summary

Magna International, Inc. seeks a Senior Research Engineer/Advanced Engineering to drive technology evaluation and PoT/PoC activities within Corporate R&D Advanced Body Domain.

You will coordinate with internal Magna groups and external suppliers to push vehicle-domain innovations, including body, exteriors, seating, and mechatronics integration. The role requires 5+ years in research/lead engineering, a strong manufacturing/process background, and proficiency with CAD data and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; MS preferred
• 5+ years as a researcher/lead engineer in body/exterior/mechatronics integration
• Experience with Teamcenter to review CAD and related data

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of new technologies, products or systems across vehicle domains
• Lead end-to-end PoT/PoC efforts using IDP
• Collaborate with R&D teams to identify gaps and drive cost improvement
• Plan and lead IDP gate reviews with required documentation
• Analyze engineering results to propose feasible product changes
