Myticas Consulting Inc. is recruiting a mission-driven editor to join our Research Editorial Team in Chicago. You will edit scholarly articles, research periodicals, e-newsletters and speeches to inform nontechnical audiences while enhancing the client’s reputation.

The role demands strong copyediting, proofreading and editorial process skills, plus familiarity with AI tools and web CMS. Collaboration with researchers and authors is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, economics or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant editing experience.
• Substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading and reviewing layouts.
• Familiarity with AI research tools and prompt engineering techniques.
• Familiarity with submitting materials into a web CMS and HTML.
• Excellent writing and communications skills with strong editorial processes.

Responsibilities

• Copyedit and proofread Economic Research periodicals.
• Perform substantive copyediting of research publications and manuscripts.
• Edit content for the Bank's public-facing website.
• Translate complex economic topics into accessible material.
• Coordinate with authors on editorial timelines.
• Edit bibliographies, tables, figures, and other elements in publications.
• Utilize AI tools to improve editorial workflows.
• Review HTML conversions and relay changes to the web production team
• Log editorial projects with bibliographical details in tracking systems
