Job summary

The Senior Research Development Officer at Texas A&M University System Offices provides strategic leadership for large-scale research development initiatives across TAMUS member institutions. The role acts as a senior advisor to faculty, research leadership, and institutional stakeholders to boost competitiveness for federal, foundation, industry, and philanthropic funding opportunities.

• Master’s degree required.
• Minimum four years of grant writing, scientific editing, or research communications experience.
• Strong writing and editing abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and evaluation criteria.

• Coordinate proposal timelines and writing schedules.
• Provide writing workshops and grantsmanship training.
• Support development of white papers, concept papers, and strategic research communications.
• Maintain quality assurance processes for major proposal submissions.

Education And Experience

• Master’s degree.
