Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a senior researcher to perform analysis and evaluation across family planning programs in LMICs, with a focus on data quality, indicators, and reporting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires knowledge of DHIS2 and routine service delivery data, strong statistical skills, and the ability to deliver actionable insights for development programming and investments. Based in San Diego, on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
• Knowledge of family planning indicators and experience applying them in monitoring and evaluation.
• Knowledge of routine service delivery data and other family planning program data in low- and middle-income country settings.
• Thorough skills in analysis and consultation.

Responsibilities

• Perform research and evaluation analyses related to family planning in LMICs across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
• Review partner data monitoring plans and recommend indicator integration.
• Provide technical assistance on measurement approaches, data quality, and reporting.
• Contribute to cross-country synthesis of findings and lessons learned.
