Job summary

The Guttmacher Institute seeks a Senior Data Analyst, Research and Advocacy to blend rigorous quantitative analysis with policy expertise for its international SRHR programs. This remote, exempt role reports to a Senior or Principal Research Scientist and emphasizes connecting analytical outputs to policy questions and country programs.

Responsibilities include leading data updates, collaborating with partners, and translating findings into policy-relevant insights for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of international SRHR or global health research.
• Experience with SRHR policy and financing frameworks at country, regional, or global level.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis using Stata and/or R; experience with large-scale population survey data.
• Bridging quantitative research and policy for non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing partnerships with governments, civil society, or multilateral bodies.
• Strong writing and oral communication to develop research products for diverse audiences.
• Master's degree (doctoral may substitute for some experience) and seven years of related work.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual AIU data updates with the AWW team and explore expansion opportunities.
• Oversee data analysis for AIU and international projects; manage DHS/MICS/PMA data and develop analytic code.
• Design and interpret research with policy relevance and clear communications for policy audiences.
• Develop SRH indicators, measurement frameworks, and methodological innovations.
