Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in cell biology or related research.
• Extensive mammalian cell culture experience and aseptic techniques.
• Experience developing and executing cell-based assays and molecular biology experiments.
• Experience with microplate-based assay systems and instruments (plate readers/imaging).
• Proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools (GraphPad Prism or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and optimize in vitro cellular assays, including 2D/3D culture models.
• Develop and maintain cellular assay systems to support target discovery/validation.
• Engineer and characterize cell lines using molecular techniques.
• Perform Western blotting, qPCR, plate-based assays, and gene editing workflows.
• Maintain multiple mammalian cell lines with good culture practices.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret data; maintain lab records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support discovery programs.
• Present findings to project teams and stakeholders.

Job description

This role will work closely with cross-functional research teams to develop cellular models, execute in vitro assays, and generate high-quality data to advance discovery programs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and cell-based assay development in a fast-paced research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and optimize in vitro cellular assays, including 2D and 3D cell culture models.
• Develop and maintain cellular assay systems to support target discovery and validation efforts.
• Engineer and characterize cell lines using molecular and cellular biology techniques.
• Perform assays such as Western blotting, qPCR, plate-based assays, and gene editing workflows.
• Maintain multiple mammalian cell lines and ensure high-quality cell culture practices.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret experimental data and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional research teams to support discovery-stage programs.
• Present findings and experimental results to project teams and scientific stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in cell biology, molecular biology, or related research areas.
• Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture techniques and aseptic laboratory practices.
• Experience developing and executing cell-based assays and molecular biology experiments.
• Experience with microplate-based assay systems and laboratory instrumentation such as plate readers or imaging systems.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools, including GraphPad Prism or similar software.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and record‑keeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and viral transduction techniques.
• Experience with automated liquid handling platforms and laboratory automation workflows.
• Familiarity with flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, cell viability assays, and multiplex assay platforms.
• Experience supporting oncology, target discovery, or early‑stage research programs.
• Strong laboratory and experimental execution skills.
• Critical thinking and data interpretation abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic research environment.
