Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement is seeking a Senior Research Associate – Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) with 3–5 years of bench experience. You will lead RNA-seq, bulk and single-cell sequencing workflows, and contribute to target identification and data QC.

The role requires strong molecular biology skills, expertise in nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, and NGS library prep/QC, with hands-on experience on Illumina platforms and multiple scRNA-seq/single-cell platforms.

Qualifications

• BS and/or MS in biological or biochemical sciences with 3–5 years of hands-on lab research.
• Experience with nucleic acid extraction, purification, quantification, and NGS library prep/QC.
• Excellent documentation and time-management using electronic lab notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Lead RNA-seq, bulk, amplicon, and single-cell sequencing workflows.

• End-to-End Library Prep:Lead RNA-seq, bulk, amplicon, and highly specialized single-cell (scRNA-seq) and single-nucleus (snRNA-seq) sequencing workflows.
• Target Identification: Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments to identify and validate novel drug targets.
• Assay Optimization:Support assay design, optimization, validation, and complex data quality control (QC).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical data anomalies to keep drug discovery projects moving forward.
• Collaborative Reporting:Translate complex experimental results into clear oral presentations and written documentation.
• Education & Experience:B.S. and/or M.S. in biological or biochemical sciences with 3–5 years of hands‑on laboratory research experience.
• Molecular Biology Mastery:Proven expertise in nucleic acid extraction, purification, quantification, qPCR, and NGS library prep/QC.
• Advanced Sequencing Background:Deep understanding of NGS technologies and data QC (preferably Illumina), with direct experience in bulk RNA-seq and amplicon-seq.
• Single-Cell Expertise:Direct experience with scRNA-seq and snRNA-seq library preparation is required. You must be familiar with multiple platforms (e.g., 10X Genomics Chromium, Illumina PIP‑seq, ScaleBio, or Parse Biosciences).
• Operational Excellence:Experience documenting experiments in electronic notebook software, alongside exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.

Preferred Extras (A Plus, But Not Required)

• Familiarity with CRISPR-based gene editing and high-throughput screening.
• Experience operating lab automation equipment (Mantis, Integra systems, liquid handlers, SPTLabtech Firefly, Tecan, etc.).
