Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC seeks a Delivery Biology Principal Research Associate to advance non-viral delivery strategies for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. You will design and execute molecular biology and cellular assays, generate data to guide discovery and candidate progression, and collaborate across teams.

The role requires a strong background in molecular/cellular biology, qPCR/NGS, protein assays, and cross-functional communication, with a focus on delivering high-quality experimental

Competenze

• Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in biological sciences and 8+ years of relevant employment experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in biological sciences and 10+ years of relevant employment experience.

Mansioni

• Build gene expression constructs using advanced molecular biology tools.
• Design, execute, and optimize in vitro assays supporting non-viral delivery biology for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
• Develop cellular/molecular workflows to evaluate uptake, dose response, intracellular trafficking, and pharmacological activity of therapeutic candidates.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction and downstream gene-expression analyses (qPCR, RT-qPCR, NGS).
• Execute protein/cellular assays (ELISA, MSD, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, reporter assays).
• Support in vitro and in vivo evaluation of gene-editing and gene-replacement approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design studies and communicate findings.
• Prepare summaries and data reports; maintain accurate electronic notebooks and SOPs.
