Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Associate specializing in epidemiologic methodology. The role is fully remote with preference for East Coast US; involves leading de novo data collection projects, coordinating multi-project tasks, and delivering protocols, analyses, and reports under senior supervision.

The position emphasizes scientific leadership, client interaction, and potential PI responsibilities, with travel both national and international as needed.

Qualifications

• PhD in epidemiology or MSc with 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience in consultancy and/or CRO environment highly desirable.
• Experience with de novo data collection (field) projects, non-interventional designs, preferred.
• Good understanding of epidemiologic methodology is required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of SAS, Stata, or R is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement de novo data collection projects (retrospective, prospective, cross-sectional).
• Provide scientific guidance on project design and operational considerations.
• Lead or coordinate development of draft scientific deliverables (protocols, analysis plans, CRFs, surveys, reports).
• Engage with project sponsors, physicians, clinical sites, and other contacts.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines for scientific tasks/deliverables.
• In some engagements, serve as Principal Investigator with final responsibilities for budget and timelines.
• Lead or coordinate abstracts and manuscripts development.
• Support business development activities and client negotiations.
