Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) invites applications for a Research Analyst (Research Specialist V) on the Applied Statistics & Evaluation Team. Qualifications

• Graduate degree in statistics, research methods, public health, public policy, or related field; or Bachelor's with at least two years of research/evaluation experience.
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and evaluating programs.
• Ability to design studies, analyze data, and report findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct advanced research/evaluation studies and data collection instruments.
• Perform statistical analysis and interpret results for policy and program insights.
• Prepare technical reports/presentations for state agencies, legislatures, and federal partners.
• Respond to ad-hoc data analysis requests and provide evaluative technical assistance.
