Job summary

UCLA Health seeks an experienced Research Administrator to join the Department of Medicine’s collaborative team. You will support faculty through the full lifecycle of sponsored research, from proposal development and submission to award setup, post‑award administration and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of research administration experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong writing skills for diverse audiences within sponsor guidelines.
• Knowledge of grant funding processes and reporting requirements.
• Ability to perform complex financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support faculty throughout the full lifecycle of sponsored projects from proposal to closeout.
• Review budgets, effort commitments, salaries and expenditures for proposals and awards.
• Oversee research proposals and awards with a collaborative team approach.
• Maintain contract and grant records in compliance with sponsor policies.
• Develop and monitor financial reporting and analysis for assigned investigators.
