Job summary

Cloud and Things Inc. is seeking a Report Engineer in Albany, NY (Hybrid) for a 27‑month engagement. You will design and maintain enterprise reporting solutions, dashboards, and BI tooling for a government-focused program, leading technical reporting development and ensuring data accuracy.

The role requires 7+ years in reporting/BI, 5+ years in advanced SQL, and leadership experience. You will mentor staff and collaborate with stakeholders while delivering high‑quality analytics outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on complex projects, including 2+ years in a Specialist (Level III) leadership role.
• 7+ years in reporting, BI, or data development.
• 5+ years of advanced SQL development with enterprise relational databases, incl. complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise reports and dashboards (Tableau/Power BI/SSRS or similar).
• Write and tune complex SQL queries, procedures, and views for data extraction and analysis.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into reporting specs.
• Validate data accuracy and report integrity across dashboards and reports.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to junior team members.
