Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Senior Rental Representative to join our Auburn, ME facility. You will handle front-line customer interactions, match vehicle demand with availability, and ensure outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Sales experience preferred (retail, consumer, B2B).
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to work at least one weekend day required.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.
• Driver qualification file and related DOT requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Compute charges for merchandise or services and receive payments.
• Prepare merchandise for display or rental.
• Recommend and provide advice on a wide variety of products and services.
• Answer telephones to provide information and receive orders.
• Greet customers and discuss rental needs.
• Keep records of transactions and customer counts.
• Complete rental forms and obtain signatures and other required information.
• Inspect and adjust rental items to meet customer needs.
• Explain rental fees, policies and procedures.
• Contact customers to respond to inquiries or notify about results.
• Resolve service or billing complaints; adjust bills when needed.
• Determine charges for services and collect payments.
• Complete contract forms and change of address records.
