Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources in Florida seeks a development leader to drive renewable project origination from start to finish, overseeing cross-functional teams and coordinating with Development leadership to shape opportunities.

You will travel to sites, present project updates, and work with communities; the role is based in Juno Beach, FL with about 50% travel, requiring strong project management, finance, and regulatory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of experience in development or energy projects.
• Experience with land acquisition, permitting, zoning, environmental studies, and interconnection evaluations.
• Experience with project valuations, commercial agreements, and tax abatements.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience in implementing project management principles and process design.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely, cost-effective results.
• Lead financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, permit activities, and negotiations.
• Manage multiple complex projects and coordinate due diligence with internal groups.
• Act as liaison between internal and external specialists on procurement, permitting and interconnection.
• Construct contractual arrangements and negotiate with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Foster external relationships with customers, third parties, and communities.
