Job summary

Geronimo Power is seeking a Senior Developer in Bloomington, MN to independently advance a portfolio of early- to mid-stage projects across solar, wind, and storage. You will evaluate opportunities, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate with internal teams, landowners, utilities, regulators, and communities to move projects forward with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes risk management, stakeholder engagement, and creating practical development paths from idea to execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in renewable energy project development or related fields.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale development processes, interconnection, permitting, land acquisition, and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing landowner relationships and external communications.
• Ability to independently manage development workstreams, deadlines, budgets, dependencies, and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stage-gate requirements for multiple early- to mid-stage projects across technologies.
• Support market evaluation, greenfield development, and partnerships.
• Evaluate viability considering land, interconnection, permitting, and stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations on real estate agreements and related documents.
• Grow greenfield development pipeline and identify new market opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to advance deliverables.
• Travel approx. 40% of the time.
