Job summary

Snowrelic Inc is looking for a Senior Renewable Controls Specialist based in San Antonio, Texas. This role is a 6-month onsite contract, focusing on technical leadership in the renewable energy sector. The candidate will troubleshoot and maintain renewable control systems, including PLCs and SCADA. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems are required. Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and ability to optimize control systems to reduce downtime and costs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for renewable control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and related software.
• Program, configure, and upgrade SCADA systems.
• Analyze and improve control processes to enhance system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Lead troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of control systems.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technical staff, and contractors.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and SCADA systems

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, Word)

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Equivalent combination of education and 6+ years of relevant experience may be considered
