Job summary

Fulton Bank is seeking an experienced SBA Underwriter to join our remote team in a full-time capacity. The role provides underwriting and closing support for SBA loans, ensuring timely credit risk decisions and compliant documentation in line with SBA regulations.

You will review and structure complex SBA loans, coordinate with applicants and attorneys, and support Relationship Managers to deliver exemplary service while adhering to bank policies and SBA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, business administration, or finance (Required).
• 5+ years of working knowledge of commercial bank products and commercial credit analysis (Required).
• 5+ years of working knowledge of MS Office (Required).
• 5+ years of loan structuring experience with Small Business Administration loans (Required).

Responsibilities

• Determines SBA eligibility on loan requests and prepares financial documentation, analyzes and structures loans, and prepares approval documents.
• Coordinates and prepares all documentation for the SBA application and communicates with the SBA office; may interact with loan applicants.
• Assists in the efficient operation of the SBA Department and supports Relationship Managers in underwriting, processing, and closing SBA loans.
• Provides exemplary customer service by meeting and exceeding service level agreements.
• Maintains knowledge of SBA regulations, bank policies and regulatory requirements; builds relationships with SBA office, attorneys, and consultants.
