Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking an Oracle SQL/PLSQL Software Engineer to support an industry leader in financial services on a long-term remote contract. The role focuses on contributing to the code base while collaborating with multi-subject area teams and customers.

The Senior Backend Engineer will lead design and implementation, enhance engineering practices around ATDD and CI/CD, and participate in test-case development, reviews, and automated regression testing to ensure high quality software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL/batch processing and CI/CD.
• Expertise in Oracle SQL/PLSQL coding, data analysis, data modelling, and data APIs.
• Familiarity with ATDD and automated tests for database code.
• Knowledge of Java and messaging/web container technologies interacting with data.
• Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD tooling.
