Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a software professional to contribute to a data-driven codebase. You will translate requirements into robust applications, lead design and implementation, and collaborate with global teams to uphold engineering standards. The role emphasizes ATDD, CI/CD, and cloud awareness, including Snowflake and S3.

You will engage in both design and code reviews, work with batch jobs and data APIs, and aim for scalable, maintainable solutions that deliver strategic value.

Qualifications

• Expertise writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL; data analysis and data modelling.
• Design and implement data APIs; performance tuning experience.
• Experience with batch jobs using ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
• Experience with ATDD and automated tests for DB code.
• Familiarity with cloud tech: Snowflake and S3.
• Strong problem solving and ability to translate requirements into applications.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the code base while collaborating with multi‑subject area team members and customers.
• Use critical thinking skills to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that give Fidelity a strategic edge.
• Lead design and implementation of software solutions that meet functional and non‑functional requirements aligned to the program’s strategic direction.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Fully engage in product quality plan efforts, including test case development, design and code reviews, and regression testing, aiming to automate the majority of them.
• Contribute to enhancing engineering practice in the areas of ATDD and CI/CD.
• Engage in working with a global team of developers in leading standard practices for software engineering.

Requirements

• Expertise writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs, and performance tuning.
• Expertise writing and maintaining batch jobs with technologies like ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.
• Experience following ATDD (acceptance test driven development) and writing automated tests for database code.
• Experience with cloud technologies is a bonus: Snowflake, S3.
• Interest in writing clean, testable, readable, easily maintainable, and performant code.
• Knowledge in mid‑tier technologies like Java, messaging technologies, web container, and understanding how they interact with data.
• Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• Ability to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that give Fidelity a strategic edge with critical thinking and strong problem‑solving abilities.
