Qualifications

• Several years (typically 5+ years) of experience in life insurance underwriting.
• Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines and risk selection.
• Ability to interpret medical and financial information and assess risk.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post issue audits and monitoring of new underwriting initiatives.
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness.
• Identify material errors, trends, and themes in audit results and report.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management on CAPs.
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework.
• Translate audit findings into targeted training and guideline clarifications.
• Provide input into innovation initiatives by testing their impact.
• Assist design and execution of Targeted audits for Underwriting Innovation.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete and properly prepared for reviews.
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement of audit frameworks.
