IBM is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Stream Processing & Analytics to own backend services across cloud-native platforms. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience building, scaling, and operating backend systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and implementation of complex backend services and systems in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.
• Make architecture and technical decisions that balance reliability, scalability, performance, and operability, and communicate tradeoffs.
• Drive projects end to end from requirements and design through implementation, rollout, and production operation.
• Improve service reliability and operations by defining SLOs/SLAs and strengthening observability.
• Collaborate across teams to define APIs, data models, and integration points.
• Identify and drive platform and productivity improvements for the engineering org.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
