Job summary

Pyramid Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Software Engineer/Developer AI to lead the technical strategy and delivery of large-scale AI systems for federal programs.

You will own enterprise architecture, governance, and modernization across cloud-native and hybrid environments, with hands-on Python-based AI/ML development and production-grade systems. You will guide cross-program decisions, advise senior stakeholders, and ensure interoperability, security, and sustainability while advancing MLOps

Qualifications

12–15+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
Proven success delivering enterprise-scale modernization programs.
Experience with FedRAMP environments and HSS security controls.

Responsibilities

Define AI and application architecture across multiple programs.
Lead architecture for distributed, cloud-native AI systems.
Oversee full ML lifecycle including data pipelines, training, deployment, and monitoring.
Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across teams.
Ensure compliance with federal standards and secure software practices.
