Job summary

Pyramid Systems, Inc. in the United States seeks a senior data scientist/AI leader to shape and drive the organization’s analytics strategy. You will lead enterprise-scale AI initiatives, mentor teams, and deliver productiongrade ML solutions for large-scale data challenges.

Responsibilities include translating complex business problems into scalable AI models, building end-to-end ML pipelines, and ensuring governance, bias mitigation, and explainability across cloud-based platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data science, ML or applied AI
• Experience leading enterprise-scale data science initiatives
• Extensive hands-on Python experience delivering production-grade data science solutions
• Proven experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
• Experience with LLMs, NLP or generative AI applications
• Experience in AI governance, model risk management, or ethical AI
• Familiarity with federal programs preferred
• Proven experience implementing MLOps frameworks and production ML systems
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

Responsibilities

• Execute and advance the enterprise data science and AI strategy aligned to organizational goals.
• Lead high-impact AI/ML initiatives across teams, delivering proofs of concept and MVPs.
• Translate complex business challenges into analytical frameworks and scalable AI-driven solutions.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning solutions including NLP, LLMs, and recommendations.
• Apply advanced data science techniques including deep learning, time series, experimentation and modeling.
• Lead hands-on model development in Python and establish best practices for reproducibility.
• Partner with AI and engineering teams to implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data platforms and cloud-based solutions.
• Establish and enforce standards for model validation, governance, and transparency.
• Communicate insights to executives via data storytelling and visualization.
• Mentor data science talent and lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.
