Job summary

Pyramid Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Full Stack AI Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of large-scale AI systems on a modern cloud stack. You will own enterprise architecture, governance, and modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Strong leadership and hands-on expertise in LLMs and full-stack AI are required. The role demands deep experience with Next.js, Terraform, and cloud-native services, plus ability to mentor engineers and drive strategic tech

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years software engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
• 8+ years of applied AI/ML experience with production systems.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) including FedRAMP.
• Hands-on experience building full-stack apps with Next.js and IaC with Terraform.
• Experience with AI platforms (Bedrock, OpenAI, Vertex AI) and RAG/agents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead, defining AI and app architecture for AIR Platform.
• Establish modernization roadmaps aligned to mission outcomes and compliance.
• Lead architecture for distributed, cloud-native AI systems.
• Drive cross-program technical decision-making for interoperability and security.
• Lead design, development, and deployment of AI solutions including LLMs and RAG.
• Architect and implement scalable AI apps using Next.js and managed AI services across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Build full-stack AI apps from UI to data layers.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems via APIs and middleware.
• Oversee AI solution lifecycle: data pipelines, evaluation, deployment, monitoring.
• Drive LLM performance and cost optimization; establish MLOps practices with GitHub CI/CD.
• Stand up CI/CD-to-AI/MLOps pipelines, MVPs to production.
• Provide technical leadership to architects, engineers, and DevSecOps staff.
• Mentor senior engineers; contribute to proposals and thought leadership.
• Demonstrate ownership from discovery to production deployment and ongoing support.
