Job summary

Abacus Technology seeks a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to provide technical support at Tinker AFB. This full-time role focuses on establishing robust R&M processes, reviewing FRACAS and system reports, and ensuring architecture/interoperability alignment for air systems.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in systems and test engineering with DoD background.
Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Skype/Lync, and Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Criteria and DoD/AF principles.

Responsibilities

Develop an effective Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) process to define and achieve system requirements.
Review FRACAS and reliability standard reports.
Review and analyze system architecture, interoperability, and design baselines.
Assess OEM proposals for design feasibility and compatibility.
Conduct performance, life-cycle cost, and risk analyses; participate in trade studies.
Translate user requirements into weapons system requirements for fielding.
Produce/review technical documents and support program reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
Assist in evaluating OEM/subcontractor recommendations and change proposals (ECPs, CCPs, FAA bulletins).
Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes; provide safety analyses and risk assessments.
