Job summary

Lunar Energy is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer for power electronics in Mountain View, CA. You will help ensure reliability from design through field performance across home energy products.

Responsibilities include DFMEA, reliability planning, and root-cause analysis of failures to drive product improvements. The role offers competitive pay, equity opportunities, and an on-site work setup.

Qualifications

• Proven track record solving complex power electronics reliability failures.
• Knowledge of power converter topologies (inverter, buck-boost, etc.).
• Experience with failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy and SEM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers during hardware design to set reliability targets.
• Provide DFx inputs during new product development and drive DFMEA.
• Develop ALT reliability test plans for components and subsystems.
• Track field reliability performance and support warranty insights.
• Lead failure analysis of tests and field returns to implement corrective actions.
