Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to anchor reliability and automation across core operations and partner sites. The role drives improvements that increase uptime, reduces recurring issues, and strengthens scalable reliability practices supporting sustained operations.

You will lead cross-site problem solving, enforce engineering standards, and advance a connected reliability, support, and maintenance network. Strong collaboration and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or higher with 6+ years in automation or related field.
• Experience in automation design, machine design, or test engineering.
• Strong knowledge of safety systems, documentation standards, and automated system integration.
• Proficient in English for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability efforts across sites with a focus on uptime and system stability.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex automation issues.
• Drive structured root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective actions are effective.
• Improve visibility into system health through diagnostics, metrics, and performance tracking.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction and prioritization within the site team.
• Partner with Reliability Leads, Global Support, Maintenance, and Operations to improve support models.
• Strengthen partner-site capability through structured documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Build strong working relationships across teams, functions, and locations.
