Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Staff Quality & Reliability Engineer to lead the resolution of complex fleet reliability challenges across its additive manufacturing platform. You will drive escalations from identification to validated closure, collaborating with SMEs across hardware, automation, materials, and software.

The role combines deep technical problem solving with systems thinking and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex root cause investigations and corrective actions on electromechanical or automated equipment.
• Strong understanding of RCCA, 8D, fault-tree analysis, FMEA, DOE methods.
• Ability to interpret machine and production data and translate findings into engineering action.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability issue intake, triage, prioritization across fleet impact and business need.
• Coordinate RCCAs across cross-functional teams (Hardware, Automation, Materials, MDE, Software, Supplier Quality).
• Drive and support RCCA completion with validated closure and evidence-based actions.
• Inform future product design with reliability learnings and standards.
