Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Australia, driving end-to-end reliability for Autonomous Underwater Vehicle platforms. The role spans from concept studies through production scale-up and field performance, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure robust designs and smooth transitions to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Reliability/Design/Process/Automation/Industrial or Test Engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience with safety-critical hardware and software in defense or aerospace, preferably Autonomous Underwater Vehicles.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-516C, MIL-STD-1629.
• Experience setting up a reliability framework for production testing, data analysis, and field testing.

Responsibilities

• Review system diagrams and schematics for reliability and redundancy.
• Lead FMEA/FTA efforts and drive design improvements.
• Perform predictive reliability analysis (MTTF/MTBF) using MIL-based standards.
• Develop and execute qualification and validation test plans for production readiness.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing to optimize assembly, testing, and reliability.
