Job summary

Aurubis AG in Augusta, GA, is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer to lead equipment reliability improvements, perform root cause analyses, and drive data-based solutions across the plant.

You will collaborate with maintenance, production and suppliers to maximize uptime and lifetime of critical assets. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in engineering with 7–10 years in reliability or related fields, plus experience with RCM, RCA, SPC, Lean/Six Sigma, and CMMS such as SAP PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 7–10 years of experience in a reliability engineering role or related technical/engineering field.
• Demonstrated Knowledge of Reliability tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), SPC, RCA.
• Prefer experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong technical engineering skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial, and materials).
• Basic understanding of predictive technologies (vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, motor analysis, ultrasonics, alignment).
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the resolution of high impact Equipment availability and Equipment reliability improvements.
• Lead individually and teams as needed to resolve equipment availability and equipment reliability improvements.
• Use data to identify high impact equipment availability and equipment reliability Improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve corrective actions
• Have a focus on resolving equipment availability problems
• Develop engineering solutions to recurrent failures and problems affecting plant availability.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, define appropriate preventive maintenance measures, and support planned shutdowns.
• Define, in cooperation with production, the appropriate operational parameters to monitor to ensure maximum equipment lifetime.
• Collaborate with suppliers as needed to improve reliability and maintainability of plant equipment.
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and technical staff.
