Job description

Senior Reliability and Maintenance Technician

Location: Waukesha, WI

Reports to: Plant Manager

At Wildeck, you’ll keep the heartbeat of our Waukesha facility strong. Picture your day: a morning walk-through to listen for an unusual bearing noise, a quick PLC check to confirm yesterday’s tweak held, then a scheduled PM on a lift system before lunch. By afternoon, you’ve used vibration data to spot an issue before it becomes downtime and partnered with production to schedule a fix. You close out by documenting the work and sharing a tip with a teammate that will save minutes on future inspections.

What you’ll do
  • Own the routine care of plant machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Design, document, and run a robust preventive maintenance program across critical assets.
  • Leverage predictive tools (e.g., vibration, thermal, visual inspections) to head off failures.
  • Replace or repair components and assemblies to return equipment to spec.
  • Conduct safety and compliance inspections; correct hazards and document findings.
  • Maintain precise records of PMs, work orders, parts usage, and repairs.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and fellow technicians to minimize downtime.
  • Model safe work practices and follow all site procedures.
  • Pitch in on additional tasks that keep the plant running smoothly.
What you bring
  • 5+ years as a maintenance technician (or comparable role) in an industrial setting.
  • Deep knowledge of mechanical systems and strong electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and apply technical manuals, electrical prints, and schematics.
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills and an eye for detail.
  • Confidence working solo and within a team, with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Comfort interacting with colleagues at all levels on the manufacturing floor.
  • Positive, steady approach under pressure, tight schedules, and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Physical capability to routinely lift/move up to 10 lbs and occasionally more than 50 lbs; frequent twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, and extended periods of standing/walking.
Technical strengths we value
  • Building and executing preventive maintenance plans
  • Mechanical diagnostics and repair
  • Commercial/industrial electrical expertise
  • Electrical troubleshooting and component-level repair
  • General maintenance and multi-craft repair
  • Crane and lifting equipment systems
  • Equipment overhaul and maintenance practices
  • Conducting machine safety inspections
