Job summary

Maximus Release Train Engineer role on-site in Maryland focuses on guiding agile transformation across cross-functional teams. You will coach teams in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, facilitate ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement for value delivery.

As a change agent, you will collaborate with leadership to prioritize backlogs, enable release planning, and ensure high-quality, timely releases while maintaining uptime and recall readiness.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in agile delivery or related field.
• On-site position with rotational on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile transformation initiatives with senior leadership to define strategy and drive cultural change.
• Coach and mentor teams in Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Lean to foster continuous improvement and self-organization.
• Facilitate Scrum of Scrums, agile ceremonies, workshops, and training sessions for adoption and alignment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize backlogs and align releases with business goals.
• Identify process inefficiencies, remove blockers, and drive automation improvements across release trains.
• Work with Scrum Masters to estimate work and optimize delivery across sprints.
• Analyze test results and agile metrics to support defect management and high-quality outputs.
• Lead post-release continuous improvement to lifecycle processes and engineering practices.
• Coordinate with Release Manager to manage calendars and release planning.
