Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lead Release Manager to orchestrate complex, cross-domain enterprise releases for critical applications and platforms. This senior individual contributor role focuses on release orchestration, dependency management, and production readiness across multiple teams.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) with the role based in Schaumburg, IL, Secaucus, NJ, or Irving, TX. Salary ranges from $130,000 to $140,000 with potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing software releases across all SDLC phases.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid SDLC methodologies.
• Proven leadership mentoring release managers and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage release schedules aligning with business and technology strategies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful releases.
• Enforce release governance and SDLC compliance.
• Maintain release progress in required tools and repositories.
• Identify and mitigate risks; escalate blockers.
• Oversee cross-team release dependencies.
• Develop production readiness reviews.
• Execute release deployments and post-deploy hypercare.
• Communicate release plans and impacts to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in release processes.
• Lead enterprise-scale SDLC initiatives and complex deployments.
• Mentor release managers and serve as escalation point for senior leadership.
