Job summary

Charles Schwab in Westlake, TX seeks a seasoned Release Manager to align release roadmaps with business goals. You will govern code freezes, enforce quality standards, and lead deployment strategies to ensure successful system rollouts.

You will architect tracking systems for automated metrics and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Harness, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps. The role includes mentoring engineers and coordinating with product and architecture teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field and 60 months progressive experience post-bachelor’s (60 months with bachelor’s or 36 months with master’s).
• Experience in Release Management with Canary, Blue-Green, or Big Bang deployment strategies.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines; Agile methodologies; familiarity with infra, architecture, and OSes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical liaison between product and engineering to align release roadmaps with business objectives.
• Govern code freeze processes and enforce software quality standards.
• Lead release management activities, deployment tactics, and production issue triage for smooth rollouts.
• Design tracking systems to automate release metrics and optimize cross-functional delivery.
• Develop automation tools (GitHub) and optimize CI/CD pipelines to boost developer productivity.
• Provide release guidance and technical mentorship to software engineers.
